For use as a calmer: administer 1/4 tube 1 hour before stressful event. No loading dose is needed.
For use as an aid in acute lameness or inappetance, administer 1 full syringe daily for 2-3 days, then 1/2 syringe daily. Long term mobility support is achieved using 1/2 tube daily for 2-3 days, then 1/4 tube daily.
Paste should be given according to weight; best results are seen when given below tongue and before hay or grain. Once daily administration has been found to be highly effective in our research trials.
Note- recommended storage for the horse paste is 40-75 degrees F; temperatures higher than 75 degrees can result in improper delivery of paste due to oily nature.

I got this for my mustang, who has a lot of anxiety around trailering and is starting to show with my daughter for 4-H. It definitely helped him stay calmer during these stressful situations. The CBD is not a substitute for gentle positive reinforcement training, but it's definitely a good complement, as it helps him process new experiences without extra anxiety.
Unfortunately the paste has not been strong enough for my girl but she did take it in her food easily which is a huge plus as she is fussy about smells and tastes she's not used to. Customer service has been great.
I started giving 500mg paste to my Arab mare suffering from an acute flare up of laminitis that has been going on for 4 months. After about 7 days of treatment we retested her ACTH levels. Between February and April she dropped from 159 to 35.5. Of course there were several additional variables, including more time for Prascend to work, seasonal variation, homeopathy, and probiotics but we believe the paste played a role. The syringes are a breeze to work with and my mare loves the paste. It did seem to relieve some of her anxiety as well.
My 14 year old mare experienced acute laminitis after an abcess to her front hoof. The other hoof subsequently developed laminits and I could not even pick up the abscessed foot to pack the other side. After bute and banamine and soft ride boots she was still sore. I use the daily dose of powder but decided to try the paste at 1 tube per day and I saw a significant improvement! I have kept her on the paste for several weeks now and she is much less sore.
