I have owned horses my whole life and worked in the veterinary industry for a little over 6 years and I am pretty skeptical of anything I haven't tried before. This was honestly my last resort to getting my 15yo barrel horse feeling comfortable enough to continue competing on. We have tried and done everything and I refuse to continue sticking needles in her. I gave her 2 scoops for 3 days then went down to one scoop per day. On the 5th day of using this product, I competed on her and she performed better than she has in years. I am definitely ordering more and going to start a few other horses on it as well.
I am using the powder for my 18 yo WB gelding with DSLD and 25 yo TB gelding for OA. The swelling in the horse's fetlocks with DSLD has resolved after the suggested loading dose of CBD paste, he's now been on the powder for 2 months. He is much more comfortable/happy standing for the farrier. He wasn't a problem to shoe but was obviously uncomfortable, prior to the CBD, when the more affected hind leg was finished. He was hesitant to step down fully on the foot and the first few steps walking back to his stall were very tentative. He's been shod twice since his loading dose and we have not observed this, he steps down on it and walks away normally. My TB is enjoying his trail rides, his walk is forward and happy. I decided to put him on the CBD knowing he has the arthritis one would expect in an active senior. I am pleased with the results in both horses. The company was very helpful in advising me about the use of their products when I contacted them prior to purchasing. It was reassuring to be able to discuss their other medical conditions and medications with knowledgeable professionals and I received detailed replies to my questions and detailed recommendations for each horse. I will be continuing both horses on their CBD from VetCS.
